Painting by Mando Padilla
This painting is an expressionism. The colorful background reminded me of a photo that I took in Boston Massachuesetts a few years ago. I didn't want to distract from the background too much so I went with solid black strokes. I kind of worked silhouettes with a knife to represent the different types of people I remembered from the trip. I was going to do a poem but didn't felt the painting was poetic enough. I also payed homage to the people of Salem, Hyannis and Falmouth on this piece.
